Supporting your child’s mental and emotional health doesn’t always require big commitments or expensive programs. There are many simple, free resources out there that can help you and your child navigate feelings, build coping skills, and create a more peaceful home environment. While these tools aren’t a substitute for therapy, they can be a great starting point—or a helpful addition to the work you’re already doing.

Mindfulness & Emotional Regulation Apps
Smiling Mind – A free app with age-based guided meditations for kids, teens, and adults
Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame – A playful app for younger children to learn calming strategies
Insight Timer – Offers free guided meditations and sleep stories for all ages
Creative & Coping Tools
GoZen! (YouTube) – Animated videos that help kids understand anxiety and build resilience
Big Life Journal (Free Printables Section) – Positive psychology tools, journal pages, and affirmations
Coloring and activity sheets – Search for free printable “feelings charts” or “coping skills wheels” on sites like Teachers Pay Teachers or Pinterest
Parent Support & Education
Child Mind Institute – Articles, videos, and tips on parenting through anxiety, ADHD, and more
PBS Kids for Parents – Offers emotional literacy tips and activities for young children
Common Sense Media – Helps parents choose age-appropriate books, shows, and games that promote empathy and emotional intelligence
While these resources can offer great support, every child is unique—and sometimes, they need a space that’s just for them. That’s where therapy can make a real difference. If you're noticing ongoing emotional struggles, behavioral changes, or just feel your child could benefit from some extra support, I’d love to help. I offer creative, compassionate therapy tailored to your child’s needs—and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
