Therapist:
I'm a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a deep passion for supporting children, teens, and young adults. I have experience working in both school, virtual, and clinic settings, where I've helped clients navigate challenges like anxiety, behavioral concerns, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My approach blends creative, play-based, and mindfulness-informed techniques with evidence-based practices to create a safe and supportive space for growth. I also work closely with parents and caregivers to foster lasting change outside the therapy room. While my specialty is with youth, I also welcome adults who are looking for a compassionate and collaborative space to explore personal challenges, build coping skills, and improve overall well-being.
Therapy Process:
When working with children and teens, I begin by meeting with the parent or caregiver first to gather background information, understand current concerns, and ensure we’re working as a team from the start. This initial meeting helps me create a therapy plan that’s tailored to the child’s needs while keeping the family’s goals in mind. In sessions, I use a blend of play therapy, creative expression, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help young clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to express themselves. I also check in with caregivers regularly to support progress outside of the therapy room and encourage consistent emotional growth at home and school. For adults and young adults, I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and emotional wellness. I integrate mindfulness, self-compassion practices, and evidence-based approaches to help clients gain insight, build coping tools, and move toward meaningful change.
